Queer Therapy Network MHP Houston Chapter is a professional organization committed to promoting the well-being of LGBTQIA+ people through the provision of competent and affirming mental health care. The chapter will meet regularly beginning January 2024 to discuss issues relevant to LGBTQIA+ mental health care, information sessions, speaker panels, workshops, and networking opportunities for networking and sharing information and expertise. Queer Therapy Network MHP Houston Chapter Information Sessions will discuss a variety of topics relevant to LGBTQIA+ community members and their families, assessing barrier to mental healthcare, queer mental health professionals, supporters, and allies, folks and their families. These sessions are open to anyone interested in learning more about the chapter, the founder, mission of the chapter, queer-affirmative therapy, including therapists, counselors, social workers, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals and organizations.

Queer Therapy Network MHP Houston Chapter will be hosting a virtual information session for their BHSA Behavioral Health Apprenticeship Program. The BHSA Behavioral Health Apprenticeship Program Virtual Information Session is designed for individuals who are interested in a career in behavioral health with a specialization in queer mental health, and want to gain experience working in the field. The information session is also a great opportunity to learn more about the apprenticeship program and how to get involved. During the session, attendees will have the opportunity to learn about the program, meet the apprenticeship coordinator, and ask questions.
